Pics from the party before the Mehaber

The weekend of the CHSFS Ethiopian Mehaber was one BIG party for our family. We met up with both travel groups, new friends, old friends and forum members! It was so much fun. So, the next few post will finally show the fun we had.

On Friday night we met with our 2nd travel group(which I forgot to bring my camera to) and with our 1st travel group. We also got to see Tesfaye and meet Nancy and Makena for the first time in real life. It was wonderful. Thanks Jon and Heather for having us over.

Here are a few pics from the night. I never did get a pic of Makenna and Makena together, but I got some sweet pics of Makena anyhow, and some cute pics of M, T, and Kenna together.

FINALLY, here are the pics from the MEHABER!! They are in random order, but show the fun we had that day. Dancing, friends, and more dancing was the order of the day. Makenna got to meet new friends like Lucy(they are SO much alike in their love of dance) and Morgan. Got to see the twins who came home the same time she did. And, got to meet a lot of the kids who came home in Kya's travel group, as well as all of the other kiddos we have already met. It was wonderful to see all of the families together. And, I LOVED getting to see and meet the moms too. We still missed some families we really wanted to see, so maybe next year! The day goes so fast, but was wonderful. Thanks again to all who help plan that for all of us. It was great!

Daisies!

Okay, this post has been a week coming but I finally took the time to do it. I need to post pics from the picnic as well, but another night.

Every year we go out into the field behind our house and play in and take pictures in all of the daisies that come up early each summer. They are incredibly beautiful. We have done it now 3 years in a row with Makenna and this was Kya's first year. I think we got some great shots! Enjoy!!!

And, now the pictures from this year. And, Kya happens to be wearing the same shirt that Makenna was wearing her first year--awwwww! So special! Maybe next year we will actually plan ahead and my kids won't be wearing play clothes for the first time! Oh well, they're so cute you don't notice right?!?!?!?!?
