Today is our 11th wedding anniversary. 11 years??? Really??
Ron & I got married young(at least I was really young-ha ha hun!), and many people assumed that wouldn't work. I now agree that it may not work for everyone, but it has worked for us. And, for that I am so thankful. Ron is such an awesome person and I am so glad that we get to muddle through life together. He is caring, hardworking and an awesome partner. He is so supportive of my crazy work schedule and picks up our girls and cooks dinner most nights. He loves me unconditionally, which is more than I could have ever hoped for. And, I love how he plays with the girls when he doesn't think anyone is watching him. And, he LOVES my family and they love him (probably more than me most times!) too, which is important since we do so much together.
We have our ups and downs like everyone, but in the end we are still together. That alone is a good thing. It's not easy everyday, but the good days outweigh the bad because they are so good. The last year has been one of the most stressful that we have had, so I think that we both realized that we can handle more than we thought. But the key is to work together.
I hope that we celebrate another 50 years together! I love you baby!
P.S. And, I will still work toward my goal of getting him to dance before we die!

We're Baaack!
It seems like forever since I have actually had time, or the energy to post. The flu really took it's toll on us for a good 10-12 days. The girls were just miserable and it wasn't pretty. That combined with me working CRAZY hours at work, and both of the girls having medical appointments at the U of M lead us to needing a break!
So, we headed to the Waterpark of America on Friday and spent the entire weekend there, just the four of us. It was so much fun to see the girls having fun, especially Kenna. She LOVED being there and was so happy to spend all of her time in the little kiddie park. Kya was just happy to be with us. She's a people girl--it's all about who she is with, not what she's doing.
It was great for the girls to have the one on one time with each of us, and is helping Kya learn to trust that we are the ones who will always care for her. She is struggling to understand that we are not just another set of caregivers in a series of many in her short life. The hours that I am working at work aren't helping there either, because some days I barely see her if at all. So, we needed the reconnect time.
It was hard to get pics, because we were busy playing, but here are a few from the weekend. Some from the waterpark (check out the intensity of Makenna on the slide--too cute!) and some around the hotel. Man, I have beautiful kiddos--wish I could take the credit for that! :)
