The slide show is really long, but it really more for us than anything, so I don't expect anyone to sit through all of it. It has been a year in coming, but I finally sat down and did it since I am somewhere with good Internet connections.
I can't believe it's been a year since we were in Ethiopia. I miss it so much everyday. I can still remember when we stepped off that plane, one year ago, and smelled Ethiopia. The smell of woodsmoke, burning trash, diesel fumes and berebere spice--an indescribable, but familiar smell. I have rarely felt more like I was at home anywhere, especially considering it was thousands of miles from my home. This incredible place that brought my girls to me. The home of my heart.

I did watch the whole thing - it is all so familiar, although you were there when it was green. All that countryside was brown this past spring.
Thanks for sharing this - I needed to stop a minute and see Ethiopia.
I cannot believe how fast the time went. I am so happy we were all there together to share in that wonderful time. Your video is awesome. I am so excited you posted these pictures I am having a blast watching them all. And I have now watched the whole thing twice. Not all at once but i have gone through the whole thing twice :) Congrats on 1 year.
Looking forward to seeing again
So beautiful - I can't believe it's been a whole year - where did the time go? What a wonderful way to commemorate an incredible trip. Seriously, though, did you have to put in the ones with me and the Great Formula Explosion??? :) Happy one year at home dear Kya - we can't wait to watch you grow up.
